Tata Wind Farm in India
Project
With 63 wind turbines, the 50 MW wind farm in the State of Maharashtra in India generates 88.3 million kWh of electricity each year.

Initial situation
The generated electricity is fed into the state’s power grid, which so far mainly distributes fossil electricity. The population in the surrounding area benefits from the newly built infrastructure as well as from the jobs created by the project.
Due to Klimarappen
This project stems from the Asia Pacific Carbon Fund (APCF), in which the Foundation holds a stake of 25 million US$.
Savings
Overall, the APCF has secured 165’756 CERs by contract for the period 2008 to 2012. The Foundation will receive 16% of these.
