Tangcun hydropower plant in China
Project
The project plans to reduce the use of fossil electricity with a hydropower plant. A 32 MW hydropower plant is thus being built in the Province of Zhejiang in China. Water from the Longtou Reservoir of the Yungang River is fed to two 16 MW turbines through a 5.56 km long tunnel. After flowing through the turbines, the water is discharged into the Tongxi River.

Hangzhou Qiandaohu Hengxin Hydropower Development Limited.

The electricity stems mainly from fossil energy sources.
Due to Klimarappen
This project stems from the Asia Pacific Carbon Fund (APCF), in which the Foundation holds a stake of 25 million US$.
Savings
Overall, the APCF has secured 65'886 CERs by contract for the period 2008 to 2012. The Foundation will receive 16% of these.
