
The Climate Cent Foundation’s Buildings Programme was phased out at the end of 2009. It is succeeded by the Swiss Confederation’s and the Cantons’ national Buildings Programme. Starting 4 January 2010, applications may be submitted at www.dasgebaeudeprogramm.ch.
Current status
By the end of September 2009, 6'478 projects had benefited from contributions from the Buildings Programme. Of these, 2'856 have already been finalised. Over the period 2008 to 2012, the contracted projects reduce 193'500 tonnes of CO2 emissions at an average price of 689 Swiss Francs per tonne of CO2.
Aim of the Buildings Programme
The Buildings Programme focused on the energy renovation of existing buildings’ envelopes, i.e. roofs, walls and windows. Until the end of 2009, the Climate Cent Foundation dedicated 175 million Swiss Francs to the programme.
